I thought I'd have some fun fooling around with my image, just to make sure that I don't take myself too seriously:

23 Things Assignment #3
I already tried out having a bloglines account a few years ago, and was keeping up with it for a while. I still have an active account (when I tested it today, it was still active), but just last week I asked them to "cancel" it (although I doubt that this is possible), as I think that I'll use Google Reader instead. I can easily access this from my blogger.com account. I've already set up to "follow" a few feeds there.
For the purposes this assignment, I've signed up for the Library Journal news and reviews, as well as the 3 feeds you see below once again, in bloglines:
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/LibraryJournalNews
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/LibraryJournal-BookReviews
http://lii.org/
http://drupal02.nypl.org/blog
http://www.unshelved.com/
I was finding that while this was a great time saver, for sure, but I just did not have time in the branch. I'm not sure that I always will in Answerline, either, but will give it a go again. It certainly is more efficient than continually checking each site. I used to use it especially for finding out about new websites for my VRL selection when I was at TRL.
I also subscribed to several family blogs, but was finding it just a bit too much , as I didn't want to spend time at home or during my breaks trying to keep up with everyone's activities, or imaginary characters (cute though they were). I use the computer so much at work that I try not to do too much at home.

23Things Assignment #1
Well, I'd like to introduce myself to you. I'm a halfling, something like a hobbit in Tolkien's universe. I'm a thief and a spy, and have some magical abilities like being able to walk unseen, or help others to do so, see into tiny unreachable places with my magic eye, and levitate. I'm still not very powerful, so I also use a sword.
Anyway, that's what I might put if I were really thinking of maintaining a blog.
In terms of what I'd like to learn in 23 things. I'd like to become more familiar with all things web 2.0, in order to keep up with our users, and possibly get ideas how these tools might help me in my work....
